The Skulduggery Series in the United States
« on: January 22, 2018, 02:14:18 PM »
Looks like there will be a new (and proper, one can hope) effort made to bring the entire series to American readers.

Quote from: Derek Landy
In May, we'll be re-releasing the first three in the States with brand new covers, and by the end of the year, all nine will be available.

The first three covers are now out:

This will most likely go beyond most uneducated folk... But... To us enlightened few... These covers are outlining a situation...

A situation, you see... Is a story without conflict...

What I see is the sequence of such a situation; whereby the gentleman is in fact making a gesture... With his digits and his headwear.

It bothers me more than it should that they changed the colour order from red/orange, green, blue to blue, red/orange, green. It's truly madness.

Why doesn't the first book have "Scepter of the Ancients" on it? That's the name of it in the US, right?
It doesn't matter where we go, there's always someone that doesn't agree with us.

I'm okay with it being the normal/non-American title. I never saw the point of adding it anyway. Maybe they just decided against it.

As a Skulduggery diplomat in the US, I'll do my best to proselyte new readers.
