So me and Gideon were talking and I had the genius idea of Caanan and Niccolo playing H&S soooo, anyone who wants to join this amalgamation of awesomeness can join, just let me know if you want to join and who will be participating. There will be no fighting between characters (unless I allow it), and then if anyone cares to play I will then explain the rules, I will of course use Niccolo. So the lets begin.

Earth / Dross War

The hive was silent, the queen was asleep, every dross was in a hibernation-like state. All except for one. The dross didn't have a name, no way to tell it different than any of the other lesser dross in the hive, but it was awake and it was sensing magic above the intricate hive tunnels, something strong enough to let the dross sense it, but weak enough for the dross to feel what humans would call confidence. The dross sped through the tunnels passing the dead ends, and entrances that led elsewhere. Finally it found an area close enough to where the magic was being emitted.

Hedron Fjord was having a terrible day. Not only had he managed to piss off most of the Cote 'd Ivory Sanctuary, but he also managed to end up escaping to a desert, not the best place for elementalist who specialized in water magic. He was running, running from Niccolo Peste. A musket round exploded in his left shoulder, nearly missed his heart, and he screamed out in pain. He had to keep running, he would die if he didn't. Another round hit off to his left, grazing his calf. Fjord didn't want to die, he was just Ninety-four, he was so young. Then he saw it, his only hope, an oasis. Putting in a burst of speed he ran, finally when near enough he jumped into the water. Looking back he saw the doctor, slowing down he leveled the musket up to the eye of the mask. Hedron reacted and shot a highly pressurized pillar of water at the Sanomancer. The water hit Peste in the chest sending him back.

Fjord walked out of the water and went over to Niccolo to take the vial that the American Sanctuary wanted so bad. Then something unexpected happened, the ground behind him exploded and spiraling out of it was the scariest thing Hedron had ever seen. It was a black skeleton, no bottom jaw pointed fangs, scythe-like hands and black skeletal wings. The horror flew at the elementalist.

The dross stared at the target zooming towards it. It latched itself onto the prey's throat, ripping it out and feasting on all the magic that coated it's body. The dross was delighted, it hadn't eaten in a long time and that was a nice appetizer, the magic would make great offspring for the hive. The dross would never get back to the hive though, because it got tied up by the oddest chain. It couldn't move and felt paralyzed looking at the on that did this to it it snarled.

Niccolo stared at the dross for a moment, then decided "You're coming with me to the Sanctuary. Let's see what you are."

Okay so here's one that I came up with Gideon about a year ago. It is an all out war with the Dross Hive. Basically the main Dross hive is in Africa and the Dross wake up due to the massive magic that has been released recently.

Now on the subject of Dross themselves, the Dross are a semi-hive mind, they all are connected telepathically but also have a sense for themselves. They feed on anything organic, then a week later a Dross with traits from the eaten burst out from the chest of the parent. If a dross were to feed on another dross the product would be a Dross Overlord a four armed Dross with scythe-like hands. The Dross are made of bone and magic, most basic Dross look like this except that around their body is a gray tattered cloak. The Dross are also capable moving over 350 MPH, but due to that speed they have a hard time changing directions without damaging themselves.

I will post some of my poorly drawn concept art so you can see for yourselves along with a monster skeleton for each pic, but I won't bother if no one wants to join... So yeah.

When in most urban environments he is a gentleman, and when carrying out tests on humans or other animals he is viewed as sadistic and inhuman. His psychotic nature emerges when he is abnormally tired, or a large scale fight breaks out, or at random. The last reason is why people don’t like him, because if he gets in a psychotic mood he wants to be wrapped in the warm blood of others. Due to the extensive wars he's fought in he has become a tactical expert.

- Magical Equipment/Artifacts: “Les gants de la peste” these are two magical gauntlets that allow the user to create and control a plague, also to cure it. To achieve this, the user must first pour magic into the gauntlets, then they must visualize the specifics of the disease (i.e. virus, coughing and sneezing, and transmitted by air) then the magic is converted into the disease itself and coats the gauntlets. The more complex the disease the longer it takes to charge the energy for it, making it practically useless in midcombat. The more someone creates a disease the less time it takes for the creation of that but the user becomes more susceptible in the long run. To cure a disease you must be able to visualize the virus, all of the symptoms and charge then the gauntlets release the antibodies, but the process of creating the antibodies takes three times the time it would take to make the virus.
 
- Other: Owns a cottage in Berlin, Paris, Venice, the Jurassic coast of England, and Konstaz.

He is also pretty good with the actual healing aspect of Sanomancy, to the point where he can heal minor wounds with no bother, larger wounds such as large gashes along limbs are a bit harder. Prefers not to deal with mortal wounds. Is total crap at wound transfer 
- Signature Ability: Coating his stilettos with a disease and then stabbing someone with them so they become infected.
- Strengths:They get a disease in their blood system so they are pretty screwed.
- Weaknesses: he has to stab you so if you evade he can’t, also someone might be immune to the disease or get a medic to help them

- Reasoning behind goal: Because if he doesn't then the Cote d’Ivoire African sanctuary will leave him on the side of the road of a city starting with “S”, with no memories.
- Motivation: The possibility of his knowledge and experiences dying is enough motivation in itself.
- Bio:Peste was born in Berlin, in what would eventually become  Germany, in 1599. At the age of 10 his parents died from a strand of the black plague. During this time he developed a mental instability from the shock of his parents’ death. When the town’s doctor, Michael Brumdir, came to do a check up on Niccolo’s parents he found them dead so he apprenticed Niccolo.

Unbeknownst to Niccolo, Brumdir was a sanomacer which was why he was such a great success in the town. He apprenticed Niccolo because he saw the potential of teaching the boy Sanomacy. Niccolo trained under him for 10 years, during which Brumdir also educated him in French, English and Italian, believing that when Niccolo stopped being his apprentice he would go out to other countries of the world and use his gift to help people, he was partly right. After the ten years were up Niccolo decided to leave Michael. He made this decision based upon Micheal’s actions after the man’s wife died. After Micheal’s wife died, he started drinking and he was a savage drunk. On the night that Niccolo went to leave, before the good doctor went to sleep he drank a bottle of whiskey. He went into a rage and nearly killed Niccolo. Niccolo grabbed the closest weapon on hand, a scalpel. Based upon reflex he stabbed the scalpel through the man’s throat. He watched in horror and glee as the life faded out of the man’s eyes. That night he buried the body of Micheal in the backyard and took ownership of the doctor’s house and left the next day.

   When he left the town he encountered a plague doctor heading off to a small village ransacked during the ongoing war. Peste thanked him and shot pain through him and killed him and took the doctors clothes. He spent the next decade in what would eventually be Germany, during most of the Thirty-Years-War. He fought as a soldier, didn't like it so moved on to strategic killings. He then traveled to France  and would heal some and kill those he deemed worthy to die. After a decade in France his killings became less and less frequent, until finally in 1650 he moved to Italy. His killing then became more frequent. He then developed a routine of moving after about a decade and a half in one area.

   After living in Italy he moved to England where he met several sorcerers one of which he befriended and the rest he killed. It was in England that he discovered a love for chemicals and experiments. While there he also discovered a love for rifles and fencing.

   He then moved to France in 1720 during the huge outbreak of Black plague. He bounced around until 1740 where he then went to America and participated in the Revolutionary War. Went back to France in 1785, where he participated in storming of Bastille. During the storming he went through Bastille’s armory and found a sorcerer open a passage in an attempt to escape the possibility of dying. Niccolo followed him and then killed him when he searched the man’s body for anything useful, he found a package to the French sanctuary, inside were Les Gants de la Peste.

Fought in the rest of the French Revolution. Bounced around, Then went to the US and fought in the Civil War. Took a ship to Italy was captured by sorcerers and was locked up. There he learned sigils from a man who called himself “the Dead Man”. Broke out stole a ship in the bay, he was captured by pirates and then eventually went back to “his” house in Germany. Was in a state of massive disrepair, fixed it and WWI came around. There he got most of his nicknames. He killed mercilessly on both sides. Lived in Italy and then participated in WWII. During WWII he came into contact with Roland Mercer. After various attempts at capture by the other sanctuaries Niccolo came to Roland for help. Roland offered working for the Cote d’Ivoire African sanctuary. Was then set as the head of the sanctuary’s SCU

During the storming he went through Bastille’s armory and found a sorcerer open a passage in an attempt to escape the possibility of dying. Niccolo followed him and then killed him when he searched the man’s body for anything useful, he found a package to the French sanctuary, inside were Les Gants de la Peste.

Fought in the rest of the French Revolution. Bounced around, Then went to the US and fought in the Civil War. Took a ship to Italy was captured by sorcerers and was locked up. There he learned sigils from a man who called himself “the Dead Man”. Broke out stole a ship in the bay, he was captured by pirates and then eventually went back to “his” house in Germany. Was in a state of massive disrepair, fixed it and WWI came around. There he got most of his nicknames. He killed mercilessly on both sides. Lived in Italy and then participated in WWII. During WWII he came into contact with Roland Mercer. After various attempts at capture by the other sanctuaries Niccolo came to Roland for help. Roland offered working for the Cote d’Ivoire African sanctuary. Was then set as the head of the sanctuary’s SCU

To achieve this, the user must first pour magic into the gauntlets, then they must visualize the specifics of the disease (i.e. virus, coughing and sneezing, and transmitted by air) then the magic is converted into the disease itself and coats the gauntlets. The more complex the disease the longer it takes to charge the energy for it, making it practically useless in midcombat. The more someone creates a disease the less time it takes for the creation of that but the user becomes more susceptible in the long run. To cure a disease you must be able to visualize the virus, all of the symptoms and charge then the gauntlets release the antibodies.

- Bio:Peste was born in Berlin, in what would eventually become  Germany, in 1599. At the age of 10 he was apprenticed to Michael Brumdir the town’s physician. Unbeknownst to Niccolo, Brumdir was a sanomacer wehich was why he was such a great success in the town. He apprenticed Niccolo because he saw the potential of teaching the boy Sanomacy. Niccolo trained under him for 10 years, during which Brumdir also educated him in French, English and Italian, believing that when Niccolo stopped being his apprentice he would go out to other countries of the world and use his gift to help people, he was partly right. After the ten years were up Niccolo decided to leave Michael. On that night, before the good doctor went to sleep Niccolo stabbed a scalpel through the man’s throat. He took ownership of the doctor’s house and left the next day.

The armor is equipped with twin energy daggers, a smaller version of the energy sword; one is mounted on each wrist. However they draw from the same power source, therefore only one can be active at a time. Nevox has dark gray skin, a traditional trait among the island-dwelling ‘Mithuram Clan, he also has iridescent blue eyes. Nevox has a stronger build than Thoros with bones aproxamiatly as thick.. Five 6” long spines run down the length of his back, normally they lay flat, however in combat of other high-tension situations they stand upright he has had to change the armor that he wears to accommodate them. Another unique trait of the ‘Mithuram Clan is their ability to recycle air through their lungs in order to breathe underwater. His body is specially adapted to survive crushing pressures at extreme depths. He has several scars on front and back of his body. Commonly armed with two energy swords and  a plasma rifle. Has command over The Shadow of Yawgmoth a  reverence class cruiser as well as the 1st and 2nd Praetors the former is a heavy destroyer, while the latter is a heavy corvette. And then many other destroyers and corvettes.

Strengths: Close combat, swimming, using energy swords, being able to pilot multiple vehicles.

Weaknesses: Not immensely agile

 - Graduated war college at 20, joined the Covenant as a Major Domo, due to his swordsman heritage.
- After a deployment on Doradus IX he was offered  Special ops training
 - Became a Special Operative at age 22.
 - He became a commander after barely surviving the war on Mirthianorus. He showed his worth after taking down three pelicans and managed to take down single-handedly, the commanding officer of the UNSC on the northern human base.
NPCs:
 Liie ‘Iakanee, Stealth Sangheili: Liie is a big and stocky Sangheili, coming in at 9’ 3” and weighing close to 700 Kilograms. However he is an excellent Stealth Operative none the less, and is an excellent marksman. He carries a Type-33 Covenant Carbine.

Chata ‘Aquirai, Stealth Sangheili: Chata is a normal sized Sangheili, standing 8’ 7” and weighing 400 Kilograms. He is a superb Stealth Operative, capable of sneaking through crowded areas for days without being spotted. He is a good swordsman and tactician. He carries a standard issue Energy Sword along with a Plasma Repeater. (Think Plasma Rifle but a bit bigger.)

Straxx, Unggoy Heavy: Straxx is super intelligent, however he is arrogant, and always feels the need to blow things up… For fun. He carries two Fuel Rod launchers, and is (oddly) completely incapable of understanding genders. However, he is very good at combat. R’ha does not like him, but keeps him around for the lulz. Yay Straxx. Two unnamed random Stealth Sangheili.

Off Topic / The Dross

I don't know where to post this cuz I jus wanted a discussion about these guys at first, I'm working with a entire species. The race is built for evolution. It's similar to krilitanes in the gene pooling idea. Let's say a dross eats a human. The dross then has to mix its gene with a human in its chest after a week the dross will open its chest and the new type of dross then leaves the other drosses body. For dross it is possible to have more than just one gene mixed into the next generation.That would require the dross eating something with a different gene. A dross reaper is the offspring of a dross scout, or a dross ripper, that has consumed a sorcerer, the dross reaper has limited use of that magic and as long as the magic is compatible with other types of magic, the dross could have multiple types of magic at its disposal if its father/mother had eaten two different sorcerers when it made it. A dross overlord is any dross that has been born with dross gene mixed with dross gene, this would require the dross to have eaten one after it died, because cannibalism is not an option for them, they aren't allowed to kill others of the hive unless they are a insanely major treat to the swarm.
