Whoa. I am changed. Will have to watch again to give thoughts, but I'm really happy with this movie.

Everything is funny, as long as it's happening to somebody else.

Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play Mysterio in Spider-Man 2, and Michael Keaton is returning as Toomes:

I've wanted Mysterio as a villain for so long. The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was widely rumoured to feature him, so I'm glad we finally got there. I'm sure he'll be played up as a comedic villain, but I'd love to see his darker Guardian Devil edge.

Marvel's Spider-Man is a good fit between the gritty, kinda bloody beatdown's in the Sam Raimi trilogy and the kinda goofy Electro/Rhino Amazing Spider-Man's. I do prefer the original trilogy and that's a sentimentality bias, but in terms of handling Mysterio this could be pretty awesome.

Always known about his character and seen him in comics, I'm kinda hyped.

Seeing as How Dinsey's bought Fox  What's the scoop on the new Venom movie?

Also; couldn't sit through 10 minutes of Black Panther... I saw the last of the final battle and there after... but wow.. I'm sorry, very unthrilling for me ....

It's a complicated situation.

Venom is being produced by Sony, who still have the license to make Spider-Man movies.

The Venom movie is not part of the MCU, but Sony wants to use Tom Holland's Spider-Man in their movies.

This would make Tom Holland's Spider-Man part of two different movie universes.

Oh that's a headache and a half... Are they able to do that?

Yep, because they own the license to make Spider-Man movies.

Spider-Man Homecoming and its sequel 100% belong to Sony. Marvel Studios produced them using Sony's money, but they don't belong to Marvel. Civil War and Infinity War would have required Sony to approve any scenes with Spider-Man since he belongs to them.
