For newbies by a newbie
« on: January 10, 2019, 01:30:02 PM »
Soooooo, hi, I guess.
This is my first time using a forum and all that.
Also, I need help! Please help if you have any knowledge.
I’m pretty sure that I’m a sensitive irl, is there any way to know for sure if I’m magic (apart from chopping of my head obviously ;P)
So sorry if this is not how this forum works! Like I said, I’m new here, have no idea how to use it and feel free to lecture me on how to use a forum if I’ve compleetely stuffed up. Which I probably have

By the sensitive thing?

I mean, I’ll know something before it happens, I’ve had dreams showing something that ends up happening in the future, and I have strong hunches about people that are more often than not correct.

Stuff happens fairly often, but not often enough for me to be able to tell.

Welcome aboard.

Try to keep the sensitive thing on the down low. Wouldn't want the mortals finding out too much.

Welcome! Unfortunately the best way is to chop off your head.

Being serious, I'm really not certain magic is a thing outside of the books. It would be a massive coincidence if Derek happened to guess exactly how real magic works. Unless he's like Gordon...

I’m not talking necessarily how magic or sensitives are portrayed in the books, and yes, I understand there is practically no way Derek could have guessed but there is probably still such a thing as magic, even if not the same as you read in skulduggery pleasant.
I need a way to figure out if I am a sensitive in a way that won’t potentially kill me.

Hello there~

It sounds like you may have stumbled upon an ability of clairvoyance. Sensitives aren’t considered as any kind of magic outside of Derek’s work. However, there are people in the real world whom insist they have the power of clairvoyance. It’s the ability to predict the future; through hunches, visions, dreams.

Everyone gets a small hunch, or a predictive dream here and there, which sometimes turn out to be accurate. Though that’s usually put down to overthinking and being right about it.

I don’t believe there’s any scientific evidence to support clairvoyancey, but it’s definitely a thing that some people believe in.

I say you’re very lucky to have that skill!

And now, I believe I’ve gone on a tangent, I’m sorry ;^^

Murdock’s the name, though most just refer to me as Docky. It’s soo cool to have you join us!
